What to Pack for a Weekend Trip: A Small Versatile Wardrobe

A weekend wardrobe works best when every packed piece can be worn more than once. A small connected palette reduces luggage and makes morning outfit decisions much faster.

Build around a few tops

Pack one simple T-shirt, one different silhouette or colour, and a polo or coordinated top for a slightly sharper option. Add one or two bottoms that work with all of them.

Keep the travel palette connected

Black, white, navy, beige, grey and olive are easy to combine, but any small palette works if the pieces relate. Wear your bulkiest shoe or layer during travel when practical.

  • Choose at least two outfits per bottom.
  • Pack one light layer for temperature changes.
  • Use a co-ord when both pieces can be separated.
  • Leave highly specific one-use items at home unless needed.
