Transitional Weather Dressing: Easy Layers for Changing Temperatures
Transitional weather is unpredictable, so outfits need layers that can be added or removed without breaking the base look. The simplest system starts with a complete T-shirt or polo outfit and adds one functional outer layer.
Build a strong base
Use a tee with trousers, a polo with denim or a co-ord that already works alone. That way the outfit still looks intentional indoors or when the temperature rises.
Add a light adaptable layer
An overshirt, relaxed jacket or other lightweight layer should have enough room for the collar and sleeves underneath. Keep the colours connected so the layer feels part of the outfit.
- Avoid relying on multiple bulky layers.
- Use texture for visual depth.
- Carry a layer that works with every piece.
- Consider both daytime and evening temperature changes.
