How to Style Men’s Shorts with T-Shirts and Polos
Shorts work with both T-shirts and polos, but the top changes the level of polish. A tee keeps the outfit straightforward and casual; a knit polo can add texture and a cleaner neckline without sacrificing comfort.
With T-shirts
Regular tees create an easy balanced shape, boxy tees show more of the short and oversized tees need careful hem length. Neutral shorts make it easier to rotate all three fits.
With polos
A textured polo with solid shorts feels immediately more considered. Keep the short design clean when the polo uses stripes, jacquard or contrast details.
- Check how much of the short remains visible.
- Use footwear that matches the top’s level of polish.
