How to Plan a Seven-Day Capsule Wardrobe for Travel
A seven-day capsule does not require seven completely different outfits. A better plan uses a few tops, repeatable bottoms and one or two layers that can be recombined throughout the trip.
Choose a simple framework
For example, pack four tops, two or three bottoms, one co-ord that can separate, one light layer and footwear that works across most settings. Adjust quantities for climate and laundry access.
Make every item earn space
Before packing, connect each top to at least two bottoms. If an item only works in one combination, decide whether the specific event justifies the luggage space.
- Use a connected palette.
- Include one slightly smarter top such as a polo.
- Wear bulkier items in transit where practical.
- Leave room for weather-specific necessities.
