How to Build a T-Shirt Rotation with Regular, Boxy and Oversized Fits
A useful T-shirt rotation does not need dozens of nearly identical tees. More variety can come from owning a few clearly different silhouettes: a dependable regular fit, a shorter boxy option and a relaxed oversized tee.
Give each fit a job
Regular fits are easy for layering and cleaner casual looks. Boxy fits bring width without excessive length and pair well with straight or wider bottoms. Oversized tees create a stronger relaxed silhouette and work well when volume is part of the outfit.
Keep colours connected
Choose a base of colours that work across all three shapes. Black, white, navy, grey and muted neutrals make it easier to repeat bottoms while the fit changes the mood.
- Start with one fit you already know you wear often.
- Add a second silhouette that creates a visibly different proportion.
- Repeat versatile colours before adding highly specific shades.
- Use measurements to avoid buying three tees that fit almost the same.
